Yes if you say so, but fact is we don´t know how much effort he put into it, if he´s preparing he´s not gonna dig deep, yesterday he was probably trying the legs out and they looked pretty good to me, he already said it yesterday, no deffence of the jersey today, I think it´s obvious this is preparation only, and nothing else.

True but he had yesterday a tough day.

And if he can do it a few times for Contador in the vuelta it's enough.

He doesn't need to be consistent every day.

But it doesn't matter, if Contador is at 95 % he doesn't need a very strong team. He proved that enough.

it saddens and horrifies me that 472 was allowed and above all decided themselves to go with their own team only to avenir.I hope the team will rot away after this very bad year. luisa deserves it. the team is a joke in this race. only chamorro is doing well considering he's not a huge talent

Last stage win to Pinot - what a season for him already. Talansky managed to protect his yellow.

I begin to wonder if he´s better than Rolland...
France got some big names comming for the future.

talents that go so well so young can stagnate though, especially when teams overuse them (Kreuziger) or when they get injured all the time (Gesink)

Yes, just look at Sagan.. :D

But you right, I don´t approve either when teams only object is the results on the short run on behalf of the young athletes, and one could also fear Sagan could pay the price one day.

Taaramäe didn't finish todays stage. :( Totally out of gas as he said in his blog. Very worrying especially cause he doesn't quite understand what the reason is..

Happy for Bagot who did very well tho.

Yeah what they did Kreuziger was just way too much.

Injuries for Gesink are an excuse but still when I saw him 5 years ago I expected a bit more from him. I doubt he will ever win a GT, maybe but then everything needs to be on their place. He seems so vulnerable.

Anyway Pinot should stop riding this year. But you know that next year french people will expect so much that the only thing he can really do is disappoint them.

Gesink hasn't stagnated, he's gotten worse, due to injury, and maybe a lack of real drive. He's a level below where he was 2 or 3 years ago. It's too bad.

Pinot to me seems a totally different type of rider. Yes, he's a climber, but that's where the similarities end. I think he's a future superstar. Actually, FDJ have been relatively careful with him, to then release him in the hardest GT possible at 22 years of age... maybe not the wisest of choices, but he did great. I doubt he'll succumb to the pressure, I just hope Madiot can be a bit less of an idiot.

Gesink most certainly does not have a lack of drive, last year he showed great form in canada and then browke his legg, which also had a massive effect on this year. So I dont think its fair to say he went down a level.

(and im not a Gesink fan, also not a hater though)

You can say a lot of things about Gesink, but a lack of drive? Seriously? LOL
