Miguel Angel Lopez, bar none.

I don't see Lopez as the greatest climber. I picked him for Vuelta de La Juventud fantasy game because of his TT and the easy parcours.
Colombia is missing Ochoa and Suaza due to a stupid fight with their team ... And even Reyes would be great

Lopez is pretty good allround, but he is a superb climber, and he got his main advantage in the hardest stage of the Vuelta Juventud.

Lopez is a way better climber than these two. Suaza is also a really good allrounder (and climber), but Ochoa is only a rider for hilly terrain. He's explosive, but nowhere near a climber like Lopez.

This is the strongest team they have. Only Suaza is a possibilty to reconsider, all the other names are not.

Really good time by Lopez. That rumour about sickness looks rubbish to me.

for lopez this is normal. must've been very technical explosuive prologue. a result like that is meaningless

Agreed, I figured it was just some Twitter rumour, but thought I'd share anyway. My bad though.

According to the source of Ruudzor, he was (a) little bit sick, so you were right to share it;)

But if you are sick, it effects your perfomance. So this results does say a little bit about the fact he's recovered.

Can anyone tell me what Lopez is saying in the interview? My Spanish is not good enough.

He was asked about his performance on the prologue, and he said it was the main objective for the entire team to end up as high in the GC as possible, so he feels pleased with his result and he'll wait for the coming days & stages (mountain stages) where he feels he has a great chance to glow. then the second question is about the prologue itself, which he described as very technical and fast -and last he's asked about the coming days, and he responded he's looking forward to them, specially in the mountains.

Thanks! If he says nothing about illness then he should be pretty fit, should be a nice show in the mountains!

Nobody was really chasing Skjerping, Van Ginneken and Kragh Andersen (they finished in that order).
In the peloton there was a big crash somewhere near the finish, Vervaeke was one of the guys who went down and looked hurt when crossing the line.

There isn't a livestream right? Or have you seen some pictures?

It seems 15 riders have been given the same time as the peloton even though they finished later. They must have been involved in the late crash.

No I have not seen pictures, there is a liveticker each day on directvelo.fr with updates. The km to go and the time gap today were not really reliable though but normally it is okay.
