Doull and Svendson finishing nearly last suggests they either fell or couldn't be arsed given conditions

I don't think Svendsen is a good bike handler yet, and with heavy rain he probably played it safe(sounds perfect for sky:D). Eiking had a bike change. That takes what? 20-30 seconds.

Svendsen only started to focus on cycling at 15 when he switched from alpine skiing, so I think he has a lot to learn compared to the others. I also suspect he struggles with long distances, but the stage lengths in Avenir should be ok.

Tomorrow first big mountain stage: who are the favourites? What can I realistically expect from Ruben Guerreiro? Can he do anything or top10 against this sort of opposition?

I'd say no, but surprises happen.

I hope Ruben Guerreiro shines in the next four days. He is a really good climber but he needs to understant better the race and know when to attack and respond to attacks. He is very impulsive. He will try to do at least a top-10 this race and maybe more... He suffer the same problem as the colombians... He doesnt race often with other u23 guys (like herklotz and others) so he dont know what truly he can do

Very tough final climb for stage 4. It is going to destroy anyone who is not amoung the best climbers, the real climbers will dominate.
