Yes, very pretty. However even pretty and hilly prologues needs distance. 2,65km doesn't cut it.

results last year (top ten), same course, interesting differences for the 2.5 km

1 Fabian Cancellara (SUI) Leopard Trek 3' 42"
2 Damien Gaudin (FRA) Team Europcar + 5"
3 Jimmy Engoulvent (FRA) Saur-Sojasun + 8"
4 Roman Feillu (FRA) Vacansoleil-DCM + 11"
5 Mathew Hayman (AUS) Team Sky s.t.
6 Jimmy Casper (FRA) Saur-Sojasun s.t.
7 Borut Božič (SLO) Vacansoleil-DCM s.t.
8 Martin Mortensen (DEN) Leopard Trek + 14"
9 Laurent Mangel (FRA) Saur-Sojasun s.t.
10 Grégory Rast (SUI) Team RadioShack + 15"

15 sec between first and tenth....

Nordhaug has been taken off the start list on Team Sky's website, so it seems that he isn't starting after all. No idea why.

probably going for the sprints. Appollonio won points jersey and a stage last year. As it is quite hilly, it would be interesting to see if Greipel dominates the sprints.

Cancellara vs Rast : 15s difference.

Placement 4 vs placement 10: 4s difference.

Pretty lame, but by all means enjoy.

Since when has Nordhaug had a reputation for being injury/illness prone?
It's weird to take it up now, since he has been very healthy so far this season. But in previous seasons he's been ill more or less all the time. Last season he barely did a single race in which he didn't have a cold or some sort of infection. He also lost much of his career due to a bad case of mono a couple of years ago. But yeah, this season he's been ill once over a period of 5 months...that's not exactly alarming.

Actually a lot of the riders don't, it starts with a technical descent in the old town of Lux City and ends with a steep cobbled climb, so a TT bike will not really help you

I think that's true of many riders in the peloton though. Pro cyclists are a sickly bunch, prone to sniffles and infections.

You're right, it should have been 250km long to balance the monstrous Col d'Europe.

You know it is the Tour de Luxembourg and not the Tour des Alpes, calling a hill "Col d'Europe" gives it an air of importance...You can tell your children that you won the stage on the Col d'Europe :D.

On a more serious note though, the difficulty will depend on whether there will be some real racing, as basically all stages go through the Ardennes, there are a lot of possibilities to make the race hard or if they take it easy and we will have to see each stage if someone will beat Greipel.

Most professional athletes are. Ironically, it's a pretty unhealthy lifestyle.
