this is only the part of the hill, which is repeated, the final ascent is spiced with 16% section coming to the finish, followed by approximatly 1km of 3-5% again. Please take the percentages are just my estimation, as I have been there many times

Perfect climb for this race if they went back to the old format without an ITT.

Yes Majka! What a sprint, he really wanted to give his Polish fans this win at home.

Tomorrow's stage is raced like... every year? Gaps generally not that big iirc.

So who's gonna take this considering the ITT.
Could even be the ole Bobby G if he manages to limited losses tomorrow. But if I were a betting man, I'd say Intxausti.

Timed to perfection by Majka, but a bit of a **** up by Movistar/Intxausti. First Intxausti went after Amador (who was visibly mad about that), then he started his sprint too early. He would have probably won otherwise. On top of that, Izagirre is 3rd.

True. Majka looks very strong though and he knows he has to get another stage win+ some time gap if he is to hold on in ITT. Tinkoff has to drill the pace early. They dont need 4 guys at the foot of last climb like today. Can't ride conservative. Also, Bukowina wall although short is extremely steep although short so with some punch and depleted peleton earlier on the stage you can attack successfuly

Aru +1:09 on climb like that? I'm wondering what's going on here. He's supposed to be climbing supertalent.

Great for Vakoc, he estimated his powers well.
