There are barely any races with TTs in the latter stages of the season, he would have done at most one more TT in the jersey had the Worlds been at the normal date.

Also, you calling losing to Thomas by 7 seconds a surprisingly good result is a damning indictment of a world champion and kind of proves the point.
You're welcome to hit people when they're down, which of course is a forum hobby, but it doesn't make much sense. If he had raced a proper season you could say: wow, that guy has failed. But he didn't.

Or did you expect him to win today?

I don't see much difference between Foss' TTs this year and his TTs in previous seasons...

No, I didn't expect him to win today. I don't think there's been a single TT all year where I expected him to win, which again is a damning indictment if you're a world champion.

As for health, Vauquelin hasn't raced for months because of a hip injury, is on a team with a far worse TT setup, is younger, has a similar skillset distribution and still beat Foss.

My point was that Foss is a historically *** world champion. Clearly you don't particularly disagree, so I'm not sure why you felt the need to jump on my posts the way you did...
Because I don't like haters.

No, he's not the best time trialist in the world. Everyone knows that, Foss probably most of all. But he still beat them all when it mattered. Fair play to him!
