Usually Kooij turns up in good shape here after the summer break, so yeah, hard to really see much competition for him. All other sprinters (apart from de Kleijn maybe, who comes back from injury) normally just don't have his speed.

Let's see how UAE will handle this race. Sounds like Majka wants to win.

1.3km 1,6% categorized climb is absolutely mad. I actually live in Wrocław, been there many times, never thought about this segent as a climb of any sort, not even a false flat section.

I especially like the 700 metres of this climb (starting segment and finishing segment) which has a percentage of 0.0%.

Guess the have to hand out the KoM jersey... somehow.
Though, looking at the profile, it seems there are... better places.

Oh, well... I'll see if I get home from work in time to catch the riveting KoM sprint.

1 sprintstage in Poland is his goal of the season?

Also, I'm pretty sure he was scheduled to do the Vuelta?
well, it's from an interview on the race website, so they probably like the riders to mention stuff like that

“I’m feeling good. I just finished an altitude training camp, so this race is the right opportunity to see if it paid off. This is my main goal for the second part of the season. I trained for three weeks, and now it’s time to sprint. There aren’t many chances this week, so we need to be ready from tomorrow and especially for stage four. We have a strong team, the lead-out train is ready, so we’re looking forward to the first stage and trying to win it.”"
