Bobridge... attacks? what?

The rest of the breakaway is confused. Their pace has clearly dropped, though.

Marc de Maar gets away from the peloton! Three Astanas chasing him down.

IIRC he was "almost" gone several times before he took his ENECO win.

I think this will still be close with the chase.

Now he attacks, a little, but still :D

He's a trackie and a TTer by nature. Those guys can dig deep when they need to.

why does de maar not have a champion's jersey?

i thought he was the dutch antillean champ...
Not a real country = no jersey.

The peloton has hit the real slopes now but they aren't pulling this back terribly quickly.

Should't the peloton be panicking by now? Surely, they can't let any of those guys get more than about two minutes?

Break doesn't have a whole lot left. They're all pushing a massive gear.

If someone like Vino attacks on the final climb the lead will evaporate.

But the break still isn't coming down very quickly.

The country no longer exists.

Now an autonomous province of NL or something like that?

not recognized by the UCI because De Maar change of license only goes in effect in 2011, even though he applied in 2010. UCI requires the season to end first.
So the nr 2 of those championships took the title instead.

This year if De Maar wins he'll get the jersey tho

The Netherlands Antilles no longer exist. Might have something to do with it. ;)

Roemenië or phonetically roomanieje or something like that. Romandie would be Romandië in Dutch

I'm pretty sure they still exist, it would be rather embarrassing if they'd just disappeared.

Curacao is an autonomous country within the Kingdom of the Netherlands, which I think is where de Maar will have his license with now. Same goes for Aruba and Sint Maarten. Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba are 'special municipalities'.

Samoilau grabs the mountain points. We'll get a proper time gap now.

This descent is going to be HAIRY.

They don't excist.

Curaçao is now an independant nation. The other Antilles are now 'speciale gemeenschappen' of the Netherlands.
