They've got Puccio if Swift doesn't make it.

Well, lets just hope they drop him too.

Sky really do seem intent on wringing the entertainment out of every single race that Liquigas don't throttle this season. It's bad enough that they do this for Cavendish and Wiggins, but doing it for a no mark like Swift is really testing my patience.

They can still make it!

Do you think the stage would be more intertaining if no team was chasing?

ok, now it seems they're not going to chase them, last 6 km they've done only half minute on the, that's too little

No, not as a general rule. But I do like to see the break actually win once in a while.

Perhaps I'm being overly pessimistic here though. The gap isn't coming down that fast at the moment so there's still some suspense.

If Swift is in the same type of form he was in early last seasno then this particular no hoper very well may take the stage.

Not his fault his early season this year was affected badly by his fiddling around on the track.

Swift is a decent lower tier sprinter. Nothing special. He could win, but he's not the favourite.

Yeah, I get your point and I kinda agree. Though on a stage like this, I'd rather the peloton was chasing than not - that's more entertaining than if these three escapees just rode together to the finish and sprinted.

But this break was never strong enough. Neither of these three are particularly strong and three isn't enough. They can't even win even when they're given 1:30 on top of what they got themselves.
