Yes. Giving up the stage is one thing. The jersey is another level.

Where did I say they should work? I'm just saying that Alpecin shouldn't be the only ones to be looked at in terms of bringing the gap down. It seems they have already been working all day. Either look at the other teams or just accept that everyone is scared of Mathieu and this is the result of that.

With that being said though, why even start any race with Mathiue in it if this is the way you're going to race? smh.

First of all, Alpecin pulled all day. - Cofidis and Movistar came to the front just before we got live transmission.

Secondly, this whole "nothing to ride for when MvdP is in the peloton" thing makes no sense, he is neither unbeatable, nor does his competitors think so.

this is a perfect stage for plenty of riders in the peloton, for some even their last chance to win any stage this race, I have seldom seen som,e riders be so scared, I even saw Alaphilippe soiling himself.
