Idk what people expect Alpecin to do? Literally pull all day long? That's just not realistic. All other teams are just scared of MvDP, they are the ones that should be looked at.
Why should they work if they know they're gonna lose the stage though?
Also, DQS might have the GC in mind so not really sensible to burn doms in intermediate stages like this.

Alpecin could at least limit the gap to keep the jersey.

lol its no certainty that MvdP will win and also getting 2nd and 3d is worth something. Why do they even start the race at all?

Where did I say they should work? I'm just saying that Alpecin shouldn't be the only ones to be looked at in terms of bringing the gap down. It seems they have already been working all day. Either look at the other teams or just accept that everyone is scared of Mathieu and this is the result of that.

With that being said though, why even start any race with Mathiue in it if this is the way you're going to race? smh.

First of all, Alpecin pulled all day. - Cofidis and Movistar came to the front just before we got live transmission.

Secondly, this whole "nothing to ride for when MvdP is in the peloton" thing makes no sense, he is neither unbeatable, nor does his competitors think so.
