That said, I actually rate Almeida in multi-mountain stages and at altitude. But the bad weather could be a problem for him...
He really seems very sensitive to rain. Not just the cold, but it looks like he just get overwhelmed by the sheer mess of rain. I've thought so ever since tour of Germany 2021. The miserable look on his face as he tried to wipe his glasses. He really looked like he had had it.

I guess that's true for many but maybe even more for him as he's not very flexible (to say the least 🤣) It would be cool if he'd prove me wrong though!

1. Who will Visma be racing for?
2. I don't think Van Eetvelt is in the race
3. It will be interesting to see how Van Gils and Nys do
4. I will also be watching how Lecerf rides...I think he's a future star

Stage 2- tricky finish as there is a 90-degree corner right in the final few hundred meters of the stage.
Edit add - Knowing how it normally is in the TdS there's probably a lot of road furniture too.

The live timing had del Toro in provisionally 11th, which I think is based on a time taken with ~1k to go. A handful of quick guys were still to come, but yeah, somewhere around 15th would probably have been a realistic result.

Today's final climb is essentially 1.3k at ~9%, so normally steep enough to force a selection - but unfortunately there's a block headwind forecast for the stage. So it could potentially be a bigger sprint than expected.

As if a headwind would stop Alberto Goattiol 🤣

5. How will the CN Forum Most Overrated Rider™ do while working towards his GC goals in the Tour de France?
6. What will Blobloblo's reaction be when Kelderman follows Yates and Skjelmose instead of staying with him?

There is no announcement from the team, maybe it's just a misinformation. My god I waited so long to see him in this race I was so excited

PCS has him as DNS, but didn't mention it in the live information. Maybe there is hope.

Edit: Now it's also in the live feed.

Why does the team pretend that Fausto doesn't exist??? There is no update or anything from them. Fausto was not active on social media at all recently, it makes me worry he is having another difficult period.
