So thats why Ineos pulled all day.. just to defend against Skjelmose? Seems a bit weird, I'd have expected the plan was to try to win the stage, but I guess they did try that (kinda), but he just didnt have the legs when the real attacks started.
I thought they were doing it for Pidcock. That's why he tried hard at the end but didn't have the strength.

Martinez being top today and in the ultra short stage but struggling in the longer, harder stages says a lot. It's a trend with him, but obviously he's still super young. It will get better.
