seriously, when did rui start to climb like this?

that was mighty impressive!!!
8km at 7%. So it's only really still a middling climb. Better than we've seen from him, but not too much more spectacular than his climbing in his Tour stage win. Bodes well for his future for races like Lombardia though!

Damn, some random Movistar rider didn't let win. It had to be as a piece of cake. Well, not bad. That was about 1/3 Andy's Planche des Belles Filles power. Be afraid, haters. :p

Random Movistar rider *facepalm*

This is Rui Costa we're talking about.

He's not that random anymore :) Gilbert knows him well from last year (sorry for this piece of patriotic pride)

Good ride by the youngsters.
Thibaut Pinot was in the top5 (and possibly better in the GC).
Moser paced himself very well and finished within a minute, just behind the Condor.

I was saying so purposefully to underline his significance for the sport compared to Frankie.

Gesink man. It seems I must always miss his good performances because everytime I see him he's getting dropped.

Roche and team Gadret should team up...could do something in this tour

Unless Roche puncuture..

But I don't think Gadret wants to do the Tour since it ruined his season last year.

To be honest I expected as much today.
He never looked good on that final climb.

Not sure if it is an indication of bad form tho, he just got back from altitude training so the racing adjustment is difficult. But we'll see I guess.

Anyway forget Machado man :p

Lofkvist looked quiet good on the climb but as always he droppes when the pace goes up towards the end. Still a decent preformance. 6th on GC.
