8km at 7%. So it's only really still a middling climb. Better than we've seen from him, but not too much more spectacular than his climbing in his Tour stage win. Bodes well for his future for races like Lombardia though!

Some ks tickle more like nine. I think where Schleck attacked....so you right, no easy big-ring climb.

Very very impressive by schleck, just went too early and really had nothing left in the final km.
Rui costa and valverde are looking good!
I won't put it past frank to repeat his suisse victory.
Hope to see valverde and schleck attacking at le tour.

ir does bode well for races like liege and lombardy and 1 week stage races which i think are his rightful place. Great to see he keeps improving.

i was the one saying piti was dropped but then corrected it, he just looks different compared to his old days in terms of riding style

To be honest I expected as much today.
He never looked good on that final climb.

Not sure if it is an indication of bad form tho, he just got back from altitude training so the racing adjustment is difficult. But we'll see I guess.

Anyway forget Machado man :p

Just wait for the Vuelta

Schleck answers critics. Costa times it perfect.

The Suisse is a bumpy race with a lot of unrated climbs. Cancellera can play a big roll for Schleck, but Boonen is also here for Leipheimer who was riding wheel in the 1st chase group.

Leipheimer will wait for the ITT again and finish on the podium.

How is Costa's ITT? I think Movistar will be let go to control the race for as long as possible.

Very impressed by Costa, didn't expect him to do so well on such a tough finish. He's been improving steadily for the last couple of years and is starting to become a really classy rider. Not too shabby by Pinot either, whose 5th place definitely shows some promise (even if I predicted him to win).

his itt isn't exactly top class but is still fairly good, he was 4th in romandie this year 22 seconds behind wiggins and was also good on the algarve itt.

the hillier the better for him tho.

good for movistar they need some uci points.

Do they? They're kind of middle of the table. Didn't get much for the Classics, but they've made the podium of the TDU, Romandie and Paris-Nice, won two stages of the Giro and 2nd in another with some other good placings, 6th in the Dauphiné, 8th in the TDU, 10th in Catalunya, a stage of the Dauphiné and of País Vasco, a couple of stage placings elsewhere for Ventoso and Rojas... they're doing OK, as you might expect from a team without any real solid leaders (unless Valverde's on top form) but a very strong backup squad.

They're up there with Radioshack on points.
