Cav drifted way off his line but he went down because Haussler gave him a hard shoulder.

If he hadn't he would have had Cav in his front wheel and crashed anyway

Exactly. It's not as clear cut as the cav haters would have you believe.

Cav certainly drifted, but it looks fairly 50/50 to me.

Bull. This one's on the boy racer. No doubt.

I can't believe some people put part of the blame on Haussler, Cav is all over the place. First he almost sends a rider (Marcato?) into the barriers on the right, then almost clips Ciolek in the center and finally torpedoes Haussler on the left. It takes a special kind of fanboy to send the blame anywhere else than to Cav.

Not saying Cav's not at fault for drifting just saying it's more 50/50 than a lot of Cav haters are saying.

But it's not. Saying the truth doesn't mean you're a hater.

Watching it again, Cav did not see him until very late. There was a rider between them until the last second.

Very unfortunate. Hope he is not out of the tour.

I'm not a "cav hater" .When one is drifting all over the place and the other is holding his line it's 100/0.

It looked to me that Cav was tracking the left barrier, while Ciolek (and essentially everyone else) was tracking the right barrier, and unfortunately the two weren't parallel.

You're probably not going to figure out whose fault it is by watching the Youtube clip a thousand times.

CN Photos show injured riders being taken away. Arnaud Coyot (Caisse d'Epargne) looked to be seriously injured.

I'd go for 90/10 to be honest but certainly Cav was the main culpret.

The problem is, there are some who hate the guy and, therefore, won't change their mind even if it was obvious it wasn't his fault (the hate boys). At the same time there's people who think he can do no wrong and defend him to the hilt (the fanboys). You really have to discount the opinions of all these and look at what everyone else is saying.

In fairness, the impartial people are saying it was Cav's fault. The Cav fanboys are saying it was 50/50 and the Cav haters are saying it was Cav's fault and he's a tosser.

So basically, the impartial people and the Cav haters are right, but the Cav haters just throw in some extra opinions about his character.

Does anyone think he will be reprimanded for this, will he see a one month ban, such as Theo Bos, that could well ruin his entire year, which up untill now already wasn't spectacular

No. It wasn't as bad as Theo Boss. The can't compare the two. I'm sure he didn't mean to bring him down. Boss on the other hand........

Yeah it looked like Cav's fault. Can't really argue with that. But he did not see him until very late - there was a rider between them before that. It all happened in a split second. It's not like he did it deliberately.

He's probably out of the tour himself so this season will be a wipe out, unless he can get it back together for the worlds.
