Cowardly racing from Pauwels and Prades, a shame Cort couldn't make it though.

What should Prades have done? Knock Van Avermaet off his bike? Second overall in race like this is a big result for Euskadi.

Puts the ToB to shame.

Superb day yesterday on Black Hill watching it. Pidcock got a massive push from his mates and then they got a serious telling off by the DS in the GB cr.

Tanfield was last man up and got a massive cheer, solid lad, well done!

or Who would be a cyclist?
A) Joscelin Lowden crashed out of stage one following an incident with a race security motorbike, resulting in a fracture of her right clavicle.

B) Alex Paton was forced to abandon the Tour de Yorkshire following a collision with an oncoming car. The roads were opened up despite Tanfield and Paton being ahead of the broom wagon. Canyon-Eisberg lodged a complaint about the traffic on course and later received an apology from race organiser ASO.

Jeez. That's mad.

It's only what most cyclists put up with everyday in Yorkshire anyways.

The crowds were huge everyone loving it. I went for a ride locally on Saturday the day after the race had been on the same roads and some old b@@tard tried pushing me off the road because I was in his way.

There was a great helicopter shot of the run in on Stage 1. Brand new housing development with brand spanking new roads. ZERO cycling infrastructure

#legacy eh?

I absolutely agree that the drive for cycling driven tourism should be matched by investment in safe cycling infrastructure. Went to Berlin a month ago and the whole city is covered by protected cycle ways.
