Even when the do catch the break it won't be too far away from the finish. Expect some attacks on Menglers Hill.
7:15 to the break. They are really going Columbia. They want revenge for screwing up the Down Under Classic leadout.

LOL. I put on the ABC audio and the only thing they are talking about is Armstrong.

Australian accents are funny.

Fair Dinkum... these commentators are from adelaide so they aren't quite right in the head.;) They were talking about Djamoldine Abdoujaporov.

If i were radioshack, garmin or Astana with sprinters who can climb should try to split it up on the crosswinds or Menglers Hill. Even if the sprinters like Davis or Griepel get back on the pace on the climb might put the sting in their legs.

To paraphrase Firesign Theater Lance doesn't do it for the money, he does it for $hit loads of money.

I thought that was from Spaceballs.

I expect one of the Australian commentators at any moment to start off with, "What we have here is a brown Tasmanian devil snake. She's a cute one. Lete me grab her by the tail..."

True that.

If I had an Australian woman, I certainly wouldn't want to hear her speak very much...

As long as they don't introduce any of the South Australian locals you should be OK.

Back to the race: Greipel is going to turn into a Tasmanian Devil and crush.

How tough is this hill? Hard enough to cause a split?

hard enough to cause the split but a team or a few teams will have to turn up the heat to get rid of griepel, mcewen etc.

I think garmin said they might try to setup something, probably for Hunter so they will probably lift the pace on menglers or try to send meyer up the road.

I think one of the commentators just retroactively awarded mark Cavendish the Tour's Green Jersey. Did I hear right?

Edit: Sorry, they were speculating on the next Tour.

We don't have accents. :p Aside from Sylvester Stallone that is. It is hard to hear an Australian accent and not think of Crocodile Dundee or the Croc Hunter (RIP).

Strewth Mate! I just got back from riding my Kangaroo down to the pub for a few Green Soldiers. Had to wrestle a few croc's on the way otherwise I'd have been here for the start of the stage.
