Well, you claim it's been around forever but I've never seen it once in 13 years following pro cycling.

Putting a 'tail-gunner' on your sprinter's wheel to block others using it used to be standard practice up to the late 90s, at least.

It then fell out of favour, probably because it used up a man who often wasn't really necessary, particularly in Cipollini's heyday.

Temporarily, at least, it seems it's back. HTC could use it well at the Tour if they take Goss.

ABC adelaide coverage is the same ABC grandstand coverage except the ABC Grandstand coverage will be covering the whole stage were as ABC Adelaide is only covering the tdu for the next hour.

Putting the radio on then... it's about 30s ahead of the online stream too!

The best radio coverage is ABC Granstand Online and on a Digital Radio in Metro area.

Online is http://www.abc.net.au/grandstand

follow the links to online streaming.

On everyday from before the start.

ABC Adelaide coverage only kicks in at midday for a bout an hour and then updates.

Regards

They really should let Greipel win today cause if he does not win by fifth day, and that is a possibility, he is gonna be one ****ed off mf'er.

Anyone know offhand when the last time was that a breakaway succeeded on a TDU stage besides the stage up Willunga Hill?

Contador and LLS won together ahead of the pack quite a few years ago.

Jonker thinks Goss is unbeatable in this form with HTC delivering it to him on a plate. The team would have to make a mistake for him to lose.

I am not so sure he will. I think it will be different today. Greipel was badly positioned yesterday, I don't think that will happen today but it is a tricky finish today so maybe some carnage.

I dunno, Goss is going bloody well and with HTC looking after him it'll be hard to get close....

It'll be interesting to see anyway

1. Cavendish
2. Goss
3. Greipel

I doubt Cav will win seeing as how Goss needs all the time bonuses he can get in order to cement his hold on the GC. But I'd bet on him being up there today where he wasn't yesterday:

1. Goss
2. Greipel
3. Cav
4. Vivani
5. McEwen

Peiper just said that they plan to have it Renshaw -> Cav -> Goss

Maybe Renshaw will just drop them both off at 300.
