Don't think so. Larsson and Navardauskas should have done a lot better if the wind changed to their favor.

You don't lose 15 minutes with a wrong turn. Probably a crash.

You do if you only find out a couple of kms later. Though a crash is the most obvious ofc, if he had to change his bike 3 times and had to sew his leg back on. 15 minutes is a long time to lose if it's a simple crash. And if he crashed really hard, then why bother finishing? That probably does more harm than good.
