Careful. Soon he'll be sending you private messages asking why you're so mean to him, this after referring to one of your posts as "idiotic".

cineteq said:A big difference between Gesing & van der Broeck (especially this year), is that Gesing is really methodical, and serious about his goals (TdF).

Uhm... what I understand from this quote is that Prudhomme considers Lotto to have no contender for the overall, and thus should fight to keep the jersey on Gilbert's shoulders. Rabo and HTC, who do have overall contenders, should pass on the jersey ASAP, to conserve energy.El Pistolero said:“Today’s profile is the flattest of this year’s race and that will probably result in a victory for one of the contenders for the green jersey. Of course, the terrain decides the nature of the route, and in order to get to the Pyrenees from Normandy we have to cross an area where there are no real difficulties. Because of the nature of the stages that have been completed so far, the yellow jersey will not be on the shoulders of one of the race’s favourites, but it will still be in the possession of a strong team because one of those stages will have been the team time trial. It might perhaps be a Rabobank rider that has it, like Gesink, or an HTC rider, like Martin. But if they are truly determined on contending for the overall title they will no doubt want to pass it on to someone else as quickly as possible. But if someone like Gilbert has it, his Omega Pharma-Lotto team will do all they can to hang to it.” - Prudhomme
Let the trolling begin
Sorry, found this to be funny. It's Prudhomme's opinion about stage 7.

In fact, I have no idea why you posted this... to weaken your argument, perhaps?
Havetts said:Were Rabobank in the race to get Gilbert then? Oo
No, I just thought it was funny that you should use this quote, which says basically the opposite of what you think it saysEl Pistolero said:Relax, it's just a joke. Once again the Dutchies prove they can't stand anything when it's about Gesink.

Not everyone loses any sense of perspective whatsoever when it's about their heroes Gilbert and Contador.

The Hitch said:Not even close. There are way more Dutch posters than Belgian ones on here.
Sorry, you're arguing yourself straight into the abyss againEl Pistolero said:The only reason why the name Gesink came up was because they have a strong TTT team. Unless you think Cavendish is going to win le Tour. Smarty pants.

El Pistolero said:You guys finding new exuses for Gesink every time he does not do what you expect
Dekker_Tifosi said:No we don't.
He was simply bad in the Ardennes for instance. No excuse
Spine Concept said:
Yawn. You're boring.
Nice call.Moondance said:...he is your..... ummm.... ummmm... Well he has no victories to his name yet, but I'm sure he'll get one soon. He is the cycling Cub of Flanders... Jurgen Van Den Broeck!
El Pistolero said:Only I don't find excuses when someone I'm a fan of loses a race
Besides, it's not directed at you personally, but I've read a lot of excuses here for Gesink over the course of the season. Don't take it so personal.
Spine Concept said:Ok. I couldn't derive that when you direct your comment to ''You guys''. My bad.
El Pistolero said:You're right.
Scrap that you guys part then
Well, I haven't seen you make any excuses yet at least
But Dekker calling Jurgen a horrid tt specialist a few times during yesterday's stage was quite funny. And the excuse that he was riding in good conditions and VDB wasn't was also a gem. Even though the cameras and road were totally wet when VDB was riding
By the way, those polkadots make VDB2 look fat.
Spine Concept said:I hope I can keep it up or I know you'll be ready to pounce
I thought he did well tbh. Jrod is a horrid TT'er. He (VDB2) has gotten better again this year, which is quite promising for the tour. Seeing Gesink at the Dauphine does make me more worried about him than VDB2. He exudes confidence and control. Can't wait for the tour to see what it brings. I want to see every rider in top form duking it out.
