Haussler wins simply because he was placed best. Galimzyanov was in his wheel and ends up 2nd losing by 1cm. Bos third, but he came from waaaay too far back. Rabobank tried to set up a nice train for him, but came way too early and they all faded way too early.

Bos impressive, got blocked, lost ground, came from a mile back very very quickly then had to go round Galimzhaynov as he came off Hausslers wheel and got third.

Yeh, Bos was throwing his bike everywhere and it didn't help when Galimzyanov pulled out.

Sagan didn't win :D

The usual Bos problem, he's very quick but he sucks at positioning and his team sucks at leading him out. He usually rides quite a few sprints before doing the actual sprint (from way too far out).

Sounds like TGAK:eek:

Hopefully Brent Bookwalter's facial injries aren't too bad as he is getting married in a month.

Kristoff was brought to 2nd position with 1 km to go, i.e far too early, so he had to slow down and accelerate again to get into position. In other words, the usual BMC leadout :p

Except I've never seen any evidence of him actually being fast ;)

(actually, in Bos's first season on the road, with Rabo Conti, he already had no problems at all beating Kristoff).

I recon if Bookwalter is asked to ride the Tour of Beijing next year he might tell BMC to F O - has not been a happy boy and now a crash

It is going to be interesting next year to see what happens with him and Renshaw.

I don't think he came to Rabo to be a leadout for Bos (except maybe in the Tour of Qatar or something)

That will be interesting for Rabo on hwo they will deal with that next year. I gues Renshaw will have a good chance to do the Tour with Gesink's injury.

I must say, BMC's leadout train was reminiscent of Fassa Bortolo for Ale Jet at the Giro or Saeco for Mario Cippolini. :D

I think Renshaw has been guaranteed Tour participation (Rabo are stupid enough to do so).

Just fired up the sky+ and watched the last, well, last mystery kilometres because there was no onscreen graphics

Perfect leadout from David Apple's for Haussler. I had no idea Heinrich was going to Sky next year.

Meh

The icing on the cake for Haussler. What a great season! He won in February and is still winning in October. Just Wow.

Lolzers.

Anyway, Galimzyanov? Bos? Chicchi? Wasn't this supposed to be an uphill finish?

According to Dave Culbert who is at the race, there is a crowd today!!!!!!!

not know whether Dave Culbert talked about the start. today's stage was open to public. but crowds should enter the bird's nest before 9:00 local time. and i still can see some organized crowds.

Thanks guys. I guess they had TT handlebars though?
I think this shows that TT bikes are not needed anyway. The results more or less stay the same on road bikes. TT bikes=waste of money

I doubt that. Check the ITT result in Oman.

You don't think he deserves a spot? With Gesink's injury and his results in GT's it would be risky to put a whole team behind someone like him. Always good to have another option in the team.
