You don't think he deserves a spot? With Gesink's injury and his results in GT's it would be risky to put a whole team behind someone like him. Always good to have another option in the team.

a couple of 7th places in the sprints be good for Rabo :p

Rabo have more than enough GT guys who could learn a lot and develope from riding at the tour and even get some results. Renshaw and at least 1 or 2 guys to help him is a waste

I don't know if Gesink will ever ride the Tour again for Rabobank, let alone with a whole team behind him  But they have some other guys who could possibly make the top-10 in the Tour (Mollema, Kruijswijk).

They can bring Renshaw, but in a role which Freire used to have. And I wouldn't mind if they didn't bring him at all.

Yes, but it is important to have a guy who can get a result. Renshaw could get some top 5 in sprints imo. He very nearly beat a very strong Ale Jet in the 2010 tdf. Beat some other quality sprinters in Qatar.

Tour de France is nottime to be developing riders. It is very important for teams to get results. Also very important for sponsors. They want a little bang for their buck.

Don't agree with that. Surely if he finds himself on the podium then Rabobank will put the full team behind him, no?

Kristoff was brought to 2nd position with 1 km to go, i.e far too early, so he had to slow down and accelerate again to get into position. In other words, the usual BMC leadout :p

Actually, he was brought to a perfect position by John Murphy and Danilo Wyss, latched onto the wheel of Daniel Oss of Liquigas who subsequently dropped his chain, and, as a consequence, Kristoff was blocked and had to start all over again.
One of these days.......

The icing on the cake for Haussler. What a great season! He won in February and is still winning in October. Just Wow.

Waited to watch the HD showing this pm.
Yes, I was thinking the same.
Hennie Haussler: the master of finding his form............when everyone else has either lost, or is looking for theirs.

Viviani was finishing the fastest, eating into Kristoff, but way too far back.

HTC has another weapon against pollution, an herbal remedy. "I tried it in 2008 during the Olympics and it was successful", doctor Riepenhof says. "Every night, the riders who request it can inhale natural substance which doesn't clear their lungs, but which helps the riders to feel better."

am i reading right?did the doc give to the riders some good kush?

Since when is getting top 5 in a stage considered a result? It might be a result for some small French team, but the top teams really shouldn't care about top 5 placings in stages. Now top 10 in the GC, that is a different story. But most people will have forgotten who finished 4 and 5 the next day, if they even noticed on the actual day.

Go Haussler!

Still getting back in form after that nasty take down by Cav. What, two years ago?!?! It takes time to recover from something that nasty...unfortuntaely, I know from experience.

Theo Bos isn't very good at riding sprints in the peloton. Today he could have won, if he started on the right spot. Maybe Rabo though with Renshaw they can get Bos in front in the sprints and he van be the first class sprinter he should be (according to his track resultst). What else should they do with Renshaw, or they use them like Graeme Brown? an excuse to not do anything in minor races...

There is absolutely zero chance that Renshaw moved to Rabo to lead out Theo Bos unless Rabobank offered him completely insane money. If he wanted to be a well paid lead out man, he'd have stuck with Cavendish. He's gone there to race for himself.

Wasn't it a 1 million euro per year contract for two seasons. So pretty insane money then. That's how Rabobank roll though. It's in their DNA to sign at least one international rider each year who represents a horrible waste of money.

Even Rabo aren't crazy enough to hire a lead out for much more cash than the guy he's leading though.

Give Renshaw a go at the early season and if he fails - which I think he will get him to work with Bos.

Bos is fast but crap at timing and position - if Bos and Cav and Goss are dropped at the same time could make for some fun.

Brown into Renshaw into Bos would be impressive -
