The barriers they have put up along the finishing straight dont look too wide apart, it may have just been the camera angle though. I will see in a couple of hours.

Quite sure, it is the same finish as two years ago which I was there for. Not particularly narrow that it will cause all that many difficulties. Though the final corner is pretty tricky.

Eurosport trying to get ahead of the next big trend, showing fecking archery (presumably there'a a big appetite for marginal sporting events between China and Korea in Europe nowadays).

ITV 4 is showing the stage as well.

Modolo seemed to lose Bennett's wheel on the last corner and then just gave up.

Cavendish saying that he is looking forward to the worlds and has been training hard to help Froome.

Really nice sprint by Bennett there. He took the last corner superbly, cutting in right onto Cavendish's wheel. Oddly enough Sean Kelly was just saying yesterday that he needed to be more aggressive in the final approach:

Anyway, a win from an elite selection on a hilly stage, a second on an uphill sprint and a second in a big flat sprint is pretty good going all around for him. He can't really do much more in a race like this to get noticed by bigger teams. Maybe he can follow Gediminas Bagdonas into the World Tour but hopefully without then becoming almost invisible to the human eye as Bagdonas has unfortunately been this year.

Good win by Cavendish on the back of an excellent lead out.

On my way home after a great day in London, great to cheer on a Cav win and Wiggins deserved the overall. A decent week of racing in my opinion and the ToB continues to improve year after year.

Got there in time for the first lap. Then an hour or so in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, as part of the 'Open House; weekend. If this coincides with TOB again, it's a stunning building inside, well worth a visit.

Saw the last two laps at the 800m to go mark. Got to see most of the British stars coming through at snails pace to massive applause. Gave a big shout to Ian Stannard, but he pretended to ignore me:eek:

He has a reputation for being one of the funniest guys in the peloton, would love to meet the guy. Alway looks like he's having a blast!

Is Viviani the most dangerous sprinter in the peleton, when you look at this incident and the way he almost took at Rathe in Llanberis, he certainly must be up there.

Totally impartial account there lol

Yes. If the blogger had continued on much longer, Bennett would probably have killed him with a stone and been made King of Israel. However, the photos do seem to show a scuffle.
