Bennett helped him in Germany, and it was clearly communicated that it would be the other way around here. He has every right to be frustrated.
Yes, but nothing compared to Bennett going backwards in the last 15 sprints Van Poppel was leading out... Didn't see Van Poppel being angry after that.
With Van Aert on the front there was nowhere to go. Tactical mistake from Bora. Bennett and Van Poppel should have switched positions.

This is the first sunny day we've had in the UK since June. And only the second day since then that the temp has gone past 20c. (yesterday was the first)
First sunny day since June?? What are you talking about?? Talk about normalising global warming! If it's not constant sunshine and blazing heat in the UK nowadays people say it's terrible weather! Weird...

i've spent most of this 'summer' riding in my winter kit. Forgive me for wanting to get a tan :tearsofjoy:
Sure, but Van Poppel did a horrible job there too. Why is he staying in between Kooij and Bennett?
Bennett had plenty of room to get past him. Even if Van Poppel teleports out of the way, Bennett isn't beating anyone else.

If the sprinter has to pass the leadout to get to someone else his wheel you're doing something wrong. It's literally leadout 101. Van Poppel had to pass Kooij so Bennet could get in Kooijs wheel without eating wind, instead of just almost losing Kooijs wheel and sprinting himself.

It isn't about Bennett beating Kooij or not, ofcourse he isn't, he isn't good enough, but that doesn't matter. Van Poppel isn't good enough either and his job here is to do the leadout. Danny simply did not a good job here. "My sprinter is bad anyways" is not a good excuse.

For a race that's almost entirely sprint stages, this Tour of Britain has a shockingly shallow pool of sprinters competing. I guess you're running up against the Vuelta and the Canadian WT races, but still surprising.
I genuinely feel sorry for the organisers. Putting on a pro stage race in the UK nowadays must be nearly impossible. I'm sure they're as disappointed with the parcours/startlist as anyone but I don't suppose there's much they can do about it

I mean, it‘s nice of Van Aert to do leadouts, but he now has two pro wins and 15 top-3s this season, that‘s abysmal win rate when he‘s in the fight.
Van Aert fans on Jumbo's social media are definitely getting quite frustrated. But I don't know what they expect, Van Aert and Kooij sprinting against each other? Kooij is just the faster rider, it's only logical that he gets the leadout.
