GC wise a weird ToB by the Wolfpack. But ok, for Remco this is just training.

Magnier a bit too far when they started accelerating, would've won otherwise. Well deserved from Williams though, team handled it perfectly the whole race.

Such a pity for Magnier that QS did not ride for him this ToB. Alaphilippe is sadly lacking, and Evenepoel is not on form yet (and dislikes rain and cold).

Love Yorkshire, I was there last summer and it never got over 20 degrees. Certainly better than nowadays Italian summer when you can't even get outside because it's too hot.
We only had about 2-3 days with over 35° C in Bolzano during the summer (but 30 tropical nights), but overall I don't mind the heat that much.

In Italy, you can almost always go up a mountain for more livable conditions. In Yorkshire, erm, go underground?

PIddler, Veistroffer and Poels immediately attacking

As an aside check out his PCS picture, another Frenchman flying the flag for glasses-wearers!

Following in the hallowed footsteps of names like Fignon, Madrazo and New Zealand left-arm spinner Daniel Vettori.

Not sure that Madrazo and Vettori fit that classification as well as Gaudu or Cosnefroy would.

France is bringing it back in style. They've also given us Sébastien Bourdais:

And now the flag is being flown by 400m hurdler Louise Maraval:

And mythical climbing prospect Églantine Rayer who is determined for some reason to wear the kind of glasses you only see on grandmothers in 1970s shows or veteran spies in Cold War thrillers:
