Alaphilippe not paying attention, not good enough, nobody wanted to work with him, or he plays the "Remco is behind so I don't have to work"-card. Which resulted in front group slowing down, which gave the possibility for Israel to attack.Serious questions about QS tactics here
Evenepoel/Gelders don't know this, so they just try to stop any attack going to the front group.
What the *** is that moron Jake Stewart doing
Perfection.Remco pulling a durable sprinter up to the front might not be the greatest move.
They do, but not sure if everyone uses it effectively all the time. The sacrificing of Remco is his own choice I think. He isn't the sole leader here, so he also puts in the work.Do they not have earpieces?
I have no idea what they have been doing the last 20km, basically sacrificing Remco, gifing it all to Israel who just sat back.

He might overestimate himself, or you might underestimate him. I still expect him to drop everyone, although not much time anymore. Next hill is the one to try it onNot really an excuse for bad tactics of course. Never smart to just keep riding with very strong riders from another team in your wheel. Anyways, good that he realized the problem and he jumped to the front. Still not a great situation, but better than before.
