This thread is a useless waste of bandwidth.

Not a surprise seeing who started it.

We don't need a thread on what, when and if Landis will hold a press conference during the ToC, or lame comparisons to honey badgers.

Some of you guys cannot be this bored. Or boring.

You'd be surprised....actually I don't find it boring. I see the humor in some of this. Plus, I'll be interested to see if Floyd has more fuel to add to the bonfire.

+1. I am surprised it is open, but yesterdays' stage of the Giro may have meant Mods attention were focused on threads in the racing section.

I fully expect it to be closed today.

Don't you guys see your own double standards?

The moment there is a vague rumour that a significant development by or against [fill in your own tasty dish] the Clinic threads are abuzz with speculation "what it means". Heck, most of the Clinic is speculation about what something means before actual events have played out, and usually based on 2nd hand accounts.

I didn't hear anyone demanding that the 1000+ post about rumours about articles in SI, and what it all meant, were yanked from the site, and we should all just wait until that article was actually published.

When the rumours were that it was delayed, we had another round of speculative threads.

We now one OP who is zooming in on something surreal [Grey Manrod and the this Honey Badger day] that is either driven by Floyd, or appears embraced by Floyd.

Speculation if Floyd is indeed stepping firmly back into the ring, and if a ToC day has been circled on the Floyd's calendar, that is certainly worthy of a thread, by all Clinic standards.

Since each and every one who has questioned this now, had no problems then, nor with any of the other countless examples I could dig up, I can't see a single reason why this thread suddenly should be closed.

We'll see what happens, or not. That OP Floyd bit could have been written by anyone. The (main) Floyd part is on topic, appropriate, and in the right part of the site. Some of you appear so annoyed with some members here that you are starting to lose perspective a bit.

That, or I expect all complainers to protest about all pre-emptive speculation threads here in the Clinic.

Grey Manrod and the Badgers (great name for a band) are already a surreal part of the show, long before Polish added his take. Sit back and enjoy the ride, or just skip this thread.

[The afterthought bit about the race itself is non-Clinic and can be discussed elsewhere, and I will remove that]

Honey badger don't give a sh!t about closing no thread, it just takes what it wants.

Now look, here's a house full of bees. You think the honey badger cares? It doesn't give a sh!t, It goes right into the house of bees to get some larva.

If someone else posted it without an obvious agenda like polish, flickie and other trolls then yes run with it, but for me in this case i dont see it as double standards. Trolls have become more obtuse in their posting due to the obvious, LA cheated and even they have to accept it. So no double standard in my opinion.

Personally if we are asked to enjoy rides in the clinic initiated by trolls the place is slipping.

So you agree it's a valid post if someone else made it, you just don't like it for personal reasons, as you have a beef with the poster himself.

That is your problem, not the OPs.

People also can't say that he is only trolling, and add nothing of value, but when he starts a thread that folk would accept as valid if made by someone else, and then still call it trolling, as it is a troll. Some of you have became far too circular in your ways of looking at some posters here.

Thread stands, last word said on it here too. Anyone else having comments, there is the "about the forum" section.

[to all: further posts in this thread have to be on topic, or there will be consequences]

Anyone know the true history of 'The Honey Badgers'? I remember RR posting a hiliarious video a few months ago, as a poke at the forumites (present company included) anxiously awaiting further Flandis/LA bonfires...

Who gets the cred?

Anyone remember the thread that was in? It could end up being historically significant...

No waffles. My sources tell me Flandis has gone into a full PC (press conference) training regime, so there will only be Jack Daniels and CEReAl. Maybe some beer if you are lucky.

I thought the plan was to shift from a press conference to a party!? Maybe Floyd's doing both!

I think it goes back to the time when Lance flushed Floyd's honey badgers down the toilet during a TdF long ago. Out of spite. Boo Boo Boo.

But do you know what?
Honey badgers did not care.
Honey badgers did not give a ****.

Thanks for the info Cal_Joe.

I'm not invited and/or able to attend, but if the Press Conference is streamed live, I may have to watch that instead of the Giro that day/morning.

I can have the show and eat my waffles too.

Edited because I was off topic? That has to be a joke. There is no topic here...except for honey badgers, and I had a post about their nasty a**es deleted too.

This I don't understand???

As one who loves some good drama and seeing people uncomfortable its hard not to love Floyd right now. I'm not sure this is really good for FL but I am excited for all of this to go down. I just hope the UCI serves him the day before the ToC so his anger peaks again. This guy is a hero.

But honey badgers don't care.

It IS possible to be a fan of BOTH Floyd and Lance.
Possible to dislike them both too.

I am a big fan of both. Both are honey badgers big time.

One is a better rider than the other.
One is a bigger fraud than the other.
One is a meaner honey badger than the other.

But fanboys don't care. We don't give a ****.

There is a million LA threads you can obsess in. Do you need to bring it here?

And after he announces he invented the "Lance Cheating" stuff, he co-announces that he just signed a multi-year contract to ride with RadioShack/Nissan. Hey, it could happen. That would be cool!

Ah, you weren't make to take it seriously ...... I didn't see the sign in the Clinic that said a little humour couldn't be posted here.

My sincere apologies to you for this gross offence and insensitive behavior - I will make a contribution to the Honey Badgers in your honor.
