Great ride by Horner and good to see Schlecklet going for it this year.
I still can't believe Zabriskie was being picked as a favorite. The climbs are way too hard this year.

Brilliant from Horner. What a amazing rider. Its great to see him celebrate as well. Ive only seen him win a tt and an overall till now.

And ****ing amazing from Rory Sutherland. Flying the flag for United Healthcare.

It will be interesting to see what kind of crowd is drawn in by the mountain finish - there have been excellent crowds thus far, but the finishes have been in urban centres, where the crowd is usually better since they don't have to go out of their way to see the race.

And yet the biggest crowds come in places like Zoncolan and Alpe where people have to travel for hours just to get there.

Really surprised to see Andy this well, I would have never predicted this. He could have let Sutherland take second place though, he did a lot of work in the group. Disappointed by Gerdemann - as far as I understand he prepared precisely for Calidornia but he was quite off today.

Biggest loser today Tejay Van Garderen, maybe due to inexperience ... it looked like he did most of the work in the chase group early on, maybe if he'd let the others do a little more he could have stayed with them.
