Moose McKnuckles said:Horner was superb. He didn't really attack, just rode Levi and Ryder off his wheel. He's definitely experiencing a career renaissance, though he's always been a great rider.

Is the TT hilly enough, the climb is only a third in vertical gain of that in Pais Vasco
Oh yeah, Solvang profile here

The guy is owning riders at the top level 40. Absolutely amazing Didnt he get into cycling a bit late.
Seriously, with the talent this guy has, he could have been winning grand tours, hilly classics and world championships.
I just hope hes satisfied with the success hes getting now, and not having regrets that he didnt fulfill his potential.

How about that finish today huh, countless times talking about how small and cramped it was and it was a bloody highway.. if the giro had finished there they would have only used half the road and let traffic continue normally!
Sheesh
Tuarts said:Must say I laughed when the peloton was on Mount Hamilton and they praised Zubeldia's work at the front, only for the camera to pan to a RS rider off the back and a graphic coming up saying Zubeldia.
Its a tough life being a commentator on the decline.

Why did they not think of this earlier? (like four years ago)
Ferminal said:Horner was always going to win this one, a far more inspiring cyclist than Bottle.
I thought Tommy D looked good for a while, and maybe could have gone on the attack. Hopefully he makes the TdF squad, they could go for the teams classification!
its kind of sad.. poor phil is becoming the murray walker of F1 in his dittery days towards the end.the vagabond said:And the whole time coming up Mt. Hamilton, Liggett thought they were on some non-descript terrain, and kept talking about the big Mt. Hamilton climb later on. Sherwen actually did a good job of trying to clue him in without contradicting him and then finally about 2 km from the top Liggett finally figured it out.
I' d heard so much here that the speed at which the pros climbed was mind-boggling that I was pleasantly surprised to find it wasn't the case. I was with a guy who climbs that hill regularly and he had the same feeling.Just back from watching it on location, about 1/3 up, just where they were about to catch RH. We'd seen a lot of amateur guys riding up before and I was surprised to see that the pros didn't seem to be going up that much faster. Anyway it was good fun.
