Is there still no rule about DQ of the winner if his leadout is nuts? I mean, Brown could literally just smash everyone down so Bos gets the win, and yet only Brown would be DQ'ed, right?

According to Mads Kaggestad, Brown is so hated in the peloton that they used to boo when he entered the restaurant in Qatar :p

Anyway HTC is the last team on earth that should complain about such a thing. I've seen some 'moves' by HTC leadouts that weren't exactly gentleman like either...

"Used to boo"? I've only read about one instance, a few years ago.

He hasn't done anything out of the ordinary in the past few years. He has made a name for himself as a crazy sprinter, but there's not much proof of that, recently.

But due to this reputation quite a few riders stay clear of him, which could prove to be quite useful when leading out Bos

Are there sprinters with a good reputation anyway?

Yeah, but Brown has such a bad reputation that even other sprinters appear to stay clear of him :p

HTC, or mainly Goss, complaining that Brown pushed everyone out of the way giving Bos and Bennati a clear run

I think you'll find the CN report states that several teams and numerous riders complained.

Awful early in the season for these whiny crybabies don't you think?

BTW, has EBH complained already about the two times that an HTC rider has blocked his sprint by swerving from his line (Cav in the first stage, and Goss in the second)?

Nope, not in the media at least.

As it's a slow day & I'm a bit bored I'll bite, EBH didn't complain as he wasn't actually impeded or have to check his sprint because he didn't really have the speed to close on the others anyway.

Got to say Benatti will be a contender for the green jersey at this years TDF

It is pretty unlikely that he will do the Tour, but chances are he'll do both Giro and Vuelta

That is indeed what Bennati stated and what I believe to be true as you can read in my original comment (you took a partial quote). The TDF will probably be for the Schlecks.

Today EBH said that the Rabobank team almost ran the Sky train off the road. They were setting up the sprint and the Rabo train came along and challenged them and apparently was a little rough about it and a couple of the Sky guys even had to move onto the gravel at the side of the road not to crash.

Rabo train = Brown?

I've just seen some footage on the Tour of Oman website, and I must say: that was one crazy long sprint by Bos. I don't know how he managed to hold it.

Wow, i had to wait ages for 88 seconds of video to load for it to have only about 5 seconds of the sprint.

What is it with people supporting specific teams on this forum? I've seen people supporting Rabobank, Team Leopard, Team Sky... And then there's also this one guy going totally crazy over BMC...

I thought we were all supposed to support our fellow countrymen. This is new for me. Interesting phenomenon.
