No 5th stage win for Rabobank. Dissapointing. I'm guessing they are going to fire the entire management now.

I already heard the first riots broke out in Amsterdam, Utrecht and Rotterdam at Rabo offices. :p

First race of the year where EBH isn't top 5.

Quite understandable though. He's probably fairly tired after the last two stages.

Well, the Rabobank tower has been on fire an awful lot recently.

I can even feel it here next to the Dutch border.
What a dissapointing race for Rabobank. Still room to improve. Not good. :p

Nice one for Cavendish. That will probably do him good and will be the start of many more wins this year.

Grats to Gesink for his first Stage race win!

Great showing from Matteo Pelucchi, 4th in such a field. Hope he can get some good results this year, he deserves it.

I hope Geox can hurry up and score a win. It'll help their bid for invites.

New, unloved and liable to disband when certain riders retire? Agreed.

Let's not diss the Shack too badly. By this time last year they'd already booked a victory... Leopard not so much.

Don't get your hopes up too high ... Andy, Fränk & TheCanc are gonna be around (and dominating) for a while, better get used to it ... ;)

By this time last year Saxo Bank (so basically LEOPARD TREK) had no victories, but in the end they were the number 1 team in the UCI rankings ... mark my words LEOPARD TREK has started out on top and will finish the season on top as well ;)

If you put your nationality aside the "joke" was actually spot on. I'm sure we all agree that Team Leopard only is a reality due to the existance of the Schleck Bros - and even though both of them have many, many years to race left in their legs, their current team would find their foundation gone if Luxembourg doesn't produce a new star in the meantime.

Radioshack was founded only due to Sir Lance-a-Lots personal contacts, and it's safe to assume Team Leopard wouldn't be here today if Andy & Frank would have liked to stay at Saxobank.

You don't have to like the "joke", but IMO it hit bullseye. :D

Cance and Andy I'll give you, but what has Fränk Schleck ever dominated? Like Simon Fourcade or Asier Olaizola, he's in the position of being perennially considered more of a contender than they probably ought to be because of their brothers. Fränk's good, but he's never won a GT and he never will. Maybe he'll pick up another Ardennes classic win or another 8-day stage race.

I'm not so sure about that - take Astana for an example. They continued on even without Vino and Kasheshkin because they had a lot of money (like LEOPARD TREK) and could afford to keep Contador. I remember people on this forum would jokingly refer to "the one token kazakh rider" they took to the Tour de France. And now they have Kreuziger so the post-Vino era is already taken care of. For me, that is an example of a "national" team which continues on despite currently lacking a national leader. I consider this a good thing, because the sole existence of Team Astana is good for kazakh cycling. I could see the same thing happening with this team (i.e. have a "foreign" leader and bring 1 token luxembourgian rider), but of course it's way too early to speculate on that.

On a different note, Luxembourg currently has the the junior ITT world champion Bob "BeeJay" Jungels. Again, it is of course too early to say whether he'll ever develop into a world-class rider, but the prospects are certainly rather promising.

I wonder whether LEOPARD TREK and Radioshack will merge à la Garmin-Cervélo at the end of the season, exactly due to the personal contacts of Lance. I doubt the company Radioshack will continue their sponsorship, but in my opinion it would be a good thing for LEOPARD TREK, as it was also a very good thing for Garmin.

Uhm .... National RR and ITT for starters ?! ;)
