What is up with Kwiatkowski? Has he said if he is having any specific issues or is he just completely meh right now?

Nice win De Clercq. Aru and Formolo were also strong. They did a lot of work for their teammates.

Kirby is bad. When he picks his man he can't stop talking about him. This time it was Reinchenbach.

Zakarin to hang on tomorrow and destroy everybody in ITT for the overall win.
Yeah, I think it's between him and Izaguirre for the win.
Zakarin was dropped today and lost about 20 seconds on the climb. Tomorrow is harder, the climbs are harder and more people will put in powerful attacks. If today is anything to go by then he will lose about 30 seconds to Formolo, Ulissi, Aru, Henao, maybe Reuchenbach and maybe even lose time to De Clerq. If he loses 30 seconds to Ulissi, say, then he needs 43 seconds against someone who is a seriously good time triallist if he is on form, in just 25km. Obviously if Zakatin puts in a monster performance in the TT then he will win it, even if he is over a minute down. But I think he will be not with the best tomorrow.

Love Formolo's grit & will. He did great, hope he will do enough harm on tomorrow's stage to try and podium TdP. Of course he will top 5 Giro in the next two years. I wonder how Reichenbach will fare in Vuelta. He is showing for several years his GT pedigree. Maybe he can top 10 Vuelta. Poljański slightly dissapointed me, I thought that he will at least try something on this stage.

As always on these Tatra stages it's a war of attrition, although it was a harder course than I thought. The finish is nicely designed, as the climbers have to attack on the penultimate climb, then the strongmen have a chance to attack, but the hillsprinters may still have a chance at the end.

Aru looked really good. But congratulations to De Clerq for taking his chance and holding on.

Edit: to dpm1991 Formolo and Reichenbach were very impressive too.

Why didn't Nieve just sacrifice himself for Henao? Would have won me some money...

He did. But he's really not good on the flat so hard to gain any time back when he is chasing.

Just his typical form by this time of the year me thinks.

Kwiatkowski is so useless, i hope he wont get chances in sky.
When you look at kwiatkowski as a specialist for classics he isnt useless at all. The problem is that there are still too many people thinking he is a future gt winner
Including Kwia himself.

Hopefully Moser ends up with the same time as the Henao group

Just what I was thinking when I saw the results. What happened, a puncture?

Surely had to be a mechanical of some sort because it was Formolo who was riding for Moser at the finish
