1-2-4

i'll take it

1-2-9 for me... means they will all score points overall. Having Boonen and Haussler together could make the first few months very enjoyable.

Boonen bossed that one. Garmin will be dissappointed, 5 men in the break and didn't get the win.

Well, they did a decent job but Boonen spurprised Haussler with an early sprint and Haussler didn't react in time.

Boonen still has pretty good sprinting legs. People under estimate how fast he still is. Yes he wasn't against real top sprinters but impressive none the less.

Can someone explain how all those riders got up the road? I am bemused by how rabobank let them go.

not that difficult to understand bud.
wind.

apparently cervelo forced it, this is difficult to bring back with a motivated front group. Not that 'mind blowing' really ;)
as for rabo, i assume the fact they had boom in there earlier pleased them... him becoming ill is just bad luck. That's cycling.

well rabobank was up there with boom and brown.. so there wasnt any reason to chase at first... Then boom felt ill and dropped out of the back. Hard to catch 18 riders especially this group.

I got the 1-2 for the stage, and Boonen and Haussler are 1st and 5th respectively in the GC... How far back my other two men (Steegmans and Vansummeren) were is as of now unknown.... Hopefully they gained/held the positions for the GC.

It's a double-edged sword for me, not sure about everyone else. I have 4-5 back in the field who will not get any points for GC now.

the real points are in the Mallorca challange tho.
each stage = 80 points for winner.

In such a group, after a few hours of echelon riding, it's hard to bet against Boonen.

Looks like we are going for the same riders, although I don't have Vansummeren. 36 points for 1-2 and Boonen in lead.

True... But an overall win for Boonen would be 110 points, and Haussler in 5th would give 50. That ain't peanuts.

yeah, dose seem like a disproportional amount of points on offer there.

I have Caleb Fairly and John Degenkolb in that one lol.

indeed.
on the negative for Mallorca there are no gc points rewarded (obviously).
but if farrar wins again today, that's an easy 160 for those whom have him.

@hugo, similar to stage results i would assume.

i think;
1. boonen
2. renshaw
3. canc
4. flecha
5. haussler
