Tomorrow is a day which is a quasi-sprint - It will suit a Mezgec/Scelling type in the final - Riders usually suffer two days after a crash.
If the final climb is the same as last year, it's hard enough to drop someone that is not feeling 100%. That said, i hope Zana is fine and he we can see a nice battle between the italians.

So there is only 1 sec different between Zana and Ulissi. Can Ulissi gain it back today? There is a 1,5km @ 10+% climb less than 10km from the finish.

Last year Pog attacked on the same climb and then he and Mohoric went to the finish, with Pog outsprinting Mohoric at the line.

De Pena had such good form that he may attack on the climb and blow them away.
I guess with his team mate leading the race, that's unlikely to be the plan. But yeah, he looked like the strongest to me yesterday as well.

Which he would also have been if he was solo in front...
Not if he was worried that the group would catch him if Jayco started chasing.

But the Danish commentators were laughing about the prize money yesterday, so perhaps he thought Zana would pay him better.

I thought Zana was a strong chance for GC, however he was even stronger than I imagined. Jayco did well to prioritise this race over Dauphine and Suisse.
Pinotti was on an Italian podcast last week and said he was happy with Zana's development this year.
He's more explosive than they thought and has good recovery. They might give him a chance to lead a GT in the coming years.

The Jayco Italian contingent should be a chance in the Italian RR - They have DeMarche, Zana, Sobrero and Colleoni who can colloborate well in the race.

Mohorič is like a cannonball on a descent, it's fascinating to watch him pull out a lead. Disappointing though that he didn't go all-in on the overall once he had a gap.

Frankly I've always rated his ability on short, punchy climbs and on hilly routes higher than his climbing ability. His climbing this year is the much bigger surprise, at least for me.
