The leadouts of Mezgec in the past were great but it is some time ago and most of the time DG doenst follow his own train and gets lost somewhere in the bunch. On paper Mezgec/Walscheid is an ideal train. Never understand what Reinders is doing there (even in the Tour!).yep, good sprint from Groenewegen indeed, especially as his leadout was much worse than you'd expect from Walscheid and Mezgec, in a field like this.

It's not a coincidence. Pogacar is a sponsor of that team, it's actually a team he himself started as a kid. A lot of young talent, I think there is also a Pogi team for junior riders as well.
Here he is racing for that team (different name at the time) at 18 years of age (with English subtitles):

Peloton split into two parts on the big climb. Bauhaus in the first peloton, Groenewegen in the 2nd almost a minute back.
PS: Live TV coverage has started! Also on Tiz, if you don't have Eurosport/Max/Discovery+/TNT
The weather and the scenery are lovely too! (They showed some horses earlier. Now the front peloton has also split because of the wind. Good racing!
Oliveira celebrates like he won the World Championships. Let's hope he gets to keep the win. Looked okay to me.
