Err, what happened to Ineos?
The commentators were going on (and on) rather excitedly about how great their tactics were.
Blythering idiots.
Sivakov tried to solo across to Lopez based on what we could see of the GC group, got caught, then they obviously had nobody for a sprint. But hey, it's Ineos, they can't do an MTF without trying the train.

This has to be one of the least exciting stage races i've seen in my life. Damn, what a poor display of racing from all the Bahrain competitors.

A quality podium for this stage - I suspect if there was a more selective route that Bardet would win.

Tomorrow will be interesting. Bardet and Bilbao are both great descenders, so it's probably come down to who's better uphill, or even bonus seconds.
They are racing in Gall's backyard, so I expect him to drop guys like Sivakov and Porte on the more technical descents (even if he's a former triathlete).

Stage 1 was ok, but stage 2 and stage 3 got kinda ruined by the additional flat at the end that was easy to avoid.
I don't need big MTFs in this race, but this is the worst route in recent years.
The Pustertal is filled with short, steep climbs, you could use 2 or 3 times as many as they are using tomorrow in a row on the same stage.

No change, they helped chase with everyone else, Sivakov had a go and is still 16s in 5th as yesterday along with everyone else.

Watching Pinot is like Iban Mayo (without the blood bags of course). He looks like Pantani one day and Quaranta the next.
This is a better description of Lopez. He is literally the best climber in the world on some occasions then the next day he is nowhere to be seen.

Rujano was overrated in this forum by some members. They made him look like the second coming of Eddy Merckx. But he had this great Giro where he put everybody on the balance in the penultimate stage. But other than that, he was a good climber in some specific days and that's it.

I wonder who youre talking about.;)
I compared him to Rujano because of his sometimes erratic behaviour. Him leaving the Vuelta on the final mountain stage reminds me a bit of Rujano leaving the Giro on the final descent of the Colle san Carlo in 2006.
