I disagree. Stage 2 was a cracker, with Bilbao's patented downhill charge. I know many long for more MTFs but placing the finish some ways from the crest of major climbs has produced some good racing so far.

It was a case of the two leading riders going nowhere on the descent - When Porte who is a poor descender can follow Bilbao on a descent this suggests it was not a cracking pace

today's finish really looks relatively easy. Will there be any action at all?

Bahrain will just controll this race for Bilbao
Bilbao could probably put minutes into Sivakov and Porte if he and the team went all out on the Kartitscher Satter descent, but sadly it's way too early in the stage and the road back to Lienz after the Gailbergsattel is flat and almost a highway.

the 2nd half of the Kartitscher Sattel climb is really exposed to the sun, the heat can be brutal during the summer.
Like I've already mentioned the following descent has lots of twists and turns and short uphill ramps, you can forget about putting on a jacket, even if it's rather cold. You'd just end up sweating waaay to much on the uphill ramps, like the one after the Biathlon center in Obertilliach up to the village.
A few interesting young riders in the breakaway, but with Bouchard also there it looks like they are doomed...

If we only get coverage after the Pustertaler Höhenstraße tomorrow I'm gonna be mad.
It's the most interesting series of climbs in the race, just look at it from right to left:

It's pretty much 10 years to the day since Pozzo destroyed the field on Punta Veleno and won this race. And now we have a bunch of 140km rolling stages.

so apart from Gamper, (he tried earlier on today), Bora has now managed to get all of their riders in one of the daily moves. About time for Palzer to show that he deserves this pro contract

Okay, so the Russians and Belarusians are not allowed to have their flags shown on the graphics.
But why doesn't it show the Puerto Rico flag?
