Not the first Brazillian here, I remember Flavio Cardoso Santos leading the breakaway past my hometown when the Firsanov show happened...
nice memory!! more known as "baiano" around here who was in team Funvic that back then was a
embarrassment..
Vini represents the "new generation" and finally got his season going after documents problems, logistical problems, even with the bio-passport that he didnt have..
he must be really anxious and the Brazilian social media army is already echoing even now back in the peloton..

The good news is that Bouchard having a minute on everyone else forces attacks from further out. You can't rely on taking that much time back on the final climb of the final stage, steep as it is. AG2R have Gall and Champoussin but other teams are definitely stronger, will be hard to control the race for them.

Edit: scratch that, gap is falling very quickly.

He almost got Tony Martined, would have been very painful for someone with no pro wins aside from all the KOM jerseys he's collected.
