Matthews got completely locked in and probably didnt bother in the end, didnt get out of the saddle anymore after having to stop his sprint.

Hilarious to see him get swallowed up in the sprint by a bunch of punchers and climbers.
Appollonio absoluely nowhere, too.
They weren't waiting around for the final 50-100 metres, to kick, that's why.

Please keep talking about Daniel Navarro and his sprinting abilities. When the riders will climb Arrate, I'll try to start an animated discussion on Daniele Ratto's climbing.

One of those weird top tens.

I don't know what's that weird with these results. This is what Pais Vasco sprints always look like.

I just saw the last 7ks. As expected a field sprint, but thing I like about this race is attacks can keep coming despite no apparent logic. Stage 2 offers up the Cat-3 Alto de Zaliarian topping out about 7ks from the finish.I hope for the same.

Nice win for JJ.

Hope tomorrow brings some agressive riding on the descent into Vitoria Gastiez.

Stay safe when riding. I almost had direct hit yesterday as well.

Wout ftw in AGR and the WC. :)

After years of rabofail, maybe the Dutch can finally win on their own soil again, with Poels!
