By using such a tight definition of "stage racer" you are saying that anyone who isn't amazing at both climbing and time trialing is a specialist, rather than a stage racer. In 2011 this means that basically Evans and Contador (and Froome I guess) are the only stage racers (they happen to have won a few between them) whilst everyone else is a climber (Schlecks, Cobo, Horner, Rodriguez, Dan Martin etc) or a TT'er (Wiggins, Tony Martin, Gesink, Leipheimer, Klöden etc). In reality we should be able to consider all of them "stage racers".

gesink a ttr, really ? :p

Hagen is on 3 year deal btw. Along Wiggo, Flecha and few others. Or that what the source said at the start of the year.

At the end Bjarne wait and has interesting riders to sign. He has around 15 riders so at least 10 riders must be sign. The likes of Paulinho are to have 2 strong team of gc helpers for an hypotetical double of Contador, GC prospects like Jungels and Machado and a important rider like Hagen who can find for himself, sprints, breaks and maybe a good helper if need.

All for a right money;)

Hagen's agent has said Riis enquired, but that he's going nowhere.

We see when Cavs came, anyway it can be next year and It hasn t to be Saxo.

In a "national team" like Sky Hagen will be the "Froome sprinter" and Cavs is not great but the best unlike Wiggo in CG overall.

If Sky were short of cash then it wouldn't really make sense for them to show a serious interest in signing Porte and TJVG, riders who they don't really need. They lost out to Rabo with Renshaw though I suppose you could make an argument either way on that with regards to Sky's resources. Also, would you have bothered renewing Lovkvist's contract if you were struggling to finance the signing of Cav and friends from HTC? I think the stalling on offering riders like Froome a contract back in July was much more to do with numbers (they had a full 30 rider roster this season) than money but who knows I guess. Froome might be a bigger issue in terms of a lack of money and budget now because his success has come so late in the season.

CQ Rankings has him as possibly going to Colnago.

All of Locatelli, Colbrelli, Battaglin, Delle Stelle and Aru are rumoured to Colnago! That would be awesome!

I hope he ends up at Saxo :p

He did amazing work for Andy and Frank at the Tour and is doing amazing for him self at this Vuelta. He can time trial as well, so win win.

Not happy with Porte signing at Sky. I suppose he shall then focus on ITT's and help at GT's maybe also focusing on one week races as well. Hopefully he can do good there though. SBS looking scarce based on this years performance.

Is Hermans and Rast staying at LEOPARD RS NISSAN Trek Company???
