Like Kristoff?

as much as i praised him, he alwas complains that he was feeling good, the team worked well for him but my legs exploded in the final 100m. It gets a little annoying. Hopefully Bltythe has some better luck next year as the main sprinter. So yes, Kristoff is dead weight.

I dunno if anyone has mentioned this. But with all this Cav is definitely going to Sky talk I think it could be so funny if he went to another team.

Maybe TSF can shed some light on why its not been announced yet. But yes, I would chuckle to myself.

The whole situation IMO is now borning and its depreciated my opinion of Cav. It maybe not his fault but its getting drawn out and borning. What sport do they think their in? Wendyball!

It appears Sky want to own him lock stock & barrel which he is resisting by wanting to stay with his existing sponers of which there are only two.

"His career will be handled by senior Wasserman figure Simon Bayliff, who also represents Wilshere and formerly worked with David Beckham.

Cavendish is the only cyclist on Wasserman’s books, but they see huge commercial potential for the Manxman. He has just two sponsorship deals, with Nike and Oakley, both of which are up for renewal in the next 12 months.

His stable of sponsors will grow as he becomes one of the faces of the London Olympics.

Such is Cavendish’s commercial potential that it is understood to be a key sticking point in negotiations with Team Sky, for whom he is expected to ride next year.

Sky want to benefit from Cavendish’s commercial appeal by retaining his image rights, a move that Team Cavendish are resisting.

They are also negotiating the clash between Nike and Adidas, who partner Team Sky and who prefer the riders to be affiliated to them."

Anyone know much about Lodewyck? He was apart of a break in the last few laps of the worlds but I know little about him.

Lodewyck is a pretty good guy for the hills and has a rather fast finishing kick...

Naah... other than Sky that's the second most obvious choice. With so many former HTC-guys, including Brian Holm, going there.
I was thinking something completely unexpected. :p

Cav to Euskaltel-Euskadi? I hear they want to do more in the sprints...:p

Just some guy, thanks for that.

One point I can't agree with the article is that of Cav's association with Nike and Sky's with Adidas. There are many top sportsmen in many different sports who are associated with a different kit provider to the one the team uses ala Messi (Adidas) Barcelona (Nike).

If they do retain his commercial rights or even a part of it his salary will have to be bumped up sharply though.

While Christian Meier isn't really a top climber by any means it's positive to see them signing someone who doesn't fit the mold of sprinter/ITTer. Meier would certainly take a regular spot in the lumpier races they would race.

It is also weird that UHC did not resign him but greenedge does.

On another note does anyone know what my Favorited Swedish speaking Fin with English mother Wegelius is doing next year - DS @ Greenedge maybe hence the signing of his mate - rumor starting :D

some of them were dead weight and not up to world tour level...get rid of 'em!

yet, you defended them all this year. they simply had to be in a breakway ro ride some 9th place in a sprint and you were cheering like there was no tomorrow.

Anything among the whispers for 1t4i (Skil)? They've got some big plans, but already commented on the fact that the most valuable (as far as WT-points go) riders are already signed. Anyone out there they can still snatch? I don't think they've got much in the pipeline as the manager already spoke about his ambition to be WorldTour in 2013 (source: it4i website; "Project 1t4i expects to be a World Tour team in the new season of 2013".)

Skil always have big plans. Their only WT-worthy riders are Kittel and Degenkolb, and it's reflected in their 22nd-or-so spot on the rider values list. Let's not get ahead of ourselves here.

Yeah, but points come with money. If there really is that big budget up that there seems to be next, they will probably be able to buy their way into the WT. But that's something for 2012.

The English version of the press statement reads:

Project 1t4i expects to be a World Tour team in the new season of 2013.

However the Dutch version states:

Project 1T4i verwacht in het nieuwe seizoen of in 2013 een World Tour-team te zijn

Translated that means:

Project 1t4i expects tp be a World Tour-team in het new season OR in 2013.

Either their Dutch version is wrong or the the Dutch word "of" (menaing "or") has been mistranslated into English.

Regards
GJ

Thanks, didn't spot that. German version also claims next season or 2012 ("in der neuen Saison oder 2013"). As I think the original statement is probably written in Dutch, the English version might indeed be mistranslated.

They would need to do some serious shopping if they would want to go for a WT-spot in 2011. I don't see that happen, who's still out there to sign? Would laugh my *** off if they can steal the Cav-man from sky, but that's less realistic than Harry Potter.

Brice Feillu and Fabian Wegmann could fit in there and they are free from Leopard are they not?

Freire and Ballan have a lot more points, Feillu and Wegmann have hardly any as far as I can tell. Cavendish and Eisel would of course be brilliant but it surely is not happening.

Brajkovic is 86 points.
And the 20th team is probably gonna be Europcar which is chasing some big points in order to get to the World Tour.
They would need a lot more riders in order to enter this year.

And by the way, Brajkovic is very close to Astana :(
