Cioni has said he won't be returning to Sky as a rider, but may return in some other role. He also suggested he may actually ride until after the Giro.

Arvesen -> retirement and a DS with Sky
Augustyn -> Utensilnord
Cummings -> BMC
Downing -> Somewhere yet to be determined :(
Gerrans -> Greenedge
Henderson -> Lotto
Pauwels -> Omega Quickstep

Unaccounted for and with contracts that supposedly expire in 2011
Carlstrom, Cioni, Hunt, Possoini

Sky apparantly have 27 riders with contracts for next year - with undoubtedly the rest of the roster to be annouced soonish.

we believe now that Hunt had a two year contract. Theres been absolutely no news at all on him and the lack of any rumours whatsoever suggest that he has a further year left to run.

So yes, Carlstrom, Cioni and Possoni the three left without contracts for next year. Astana interest in Possoni seems to have dwindled and possibly will stay. Dario and Kjell both to retire with Dario riding for a little longer makes sense. Dont forget, Cioni has a sports management degree.

Dario did say earlier this week that Granfondo del Brunello will be his last race for Sky

Have heard that Hunt is on the way out, both from him and from someone senior at Sky.

Ah well. We originally thought 1 year, but then the complete lack of news made us think maybe he is on two years after all. Will put him back on our leavers list (he only came off it yesterday) :D

edit: apparently in cyclingweekly today it says he has a contract for next year with Sky, and info I now have is hes staying

edit: I know what Dario is doing. He is staying with the team in a "new role".

It's very hard to make a judgment without knowing the details. All we have it's Bettancourt version against Amadio's. Liquigas claim for transparency, but so far this is out it rolls: They knowingly signed a rider with a contract for next year. :confused: How would such a case unfold? Whose contract is valid?

my guess is that betancourt wants more money(which is totally deserved) after he showed this year.probably in that contract,liquigas offer was small.

Has there been anymore news on Katusha not honoring their 2012 contract with Leif Hoste?

Nope, didn't read anything yet. Will post it on here as soon as the Belgian media write/show something new :p

According to an article on procycling.no it seems like Ballan is staying at BMC next year. Can you imagine what their RVV team could look like?

Gilbert
Hushovd
Ballan
Hincapie
Burghardt
Quinziato
Phinney
Van Avermaet*

I remember reading here that there were rumours that A & S would stop next year. Maybe somebody convinced Betancourt that they were in fact stopping, and that he was therefore allowed to sign with another team? The Colombian press reported the transfer back in July.

I know Hoste doesn't have a very aggressive reputation as a rider but I think he's going to fight hard on this one. He certainly should!

That would make sense. But according to Betancourt (yesterday), he and Amadio were on the same page. The contract would only be valid if Aqua and Saponne did fold. So the reasoning floats beetween misunderstanding to bad-will from one of the parts. All speculation, of course. Although the future of the rider remains undecided (?).
