Well, I could find a similar result list on Tosatto who was one of the best just a couple of years ago to do what he does - protecting.

I could say the same with Giovanni Lombardi (he had the ability of winning races though). Rolf Sorensen, who is now commentator on danish tv2 throughout the whole cycling season, and is absolutely brilliant at it, always praises the underrated work these guys do, which I guess many commentators that have no clue of the actually 'life' in the peloton often never mention. Tosatto did not do a good job in the tour protecting Contador and might starting losing it. Rasch would be a great signing in that matter.

He was doing a great job in the Giro however iirc

And Posthuma is rather overrated as support on the cobbles.

In other news, Big Mat was meant to join Garmin as a co-sponsor (ie Garmin-Big Mat), but pulled out right as Garmin were filing the paperwork for next year's licence as Garmin-Big Mat. So instead they will again be Garmin-Cervèlo with Doug Ellis making up the difference.

Garmin are looking at the possibility of taking legal action against Big Mat.

A letter of intent doesn't mean the deal is done, it just confirms your intention. But a sponsor not wanting to increase their involvement in cycling isn't really surprising.

So I was indeed right that Saxo Bank were actually willing to pay that kind of money for EBH "a clause popped up during TDF where saxo bank where willing to pay 1 million for the right rider" - which obviously was EBH as he has confirmed himself. In other words, Ryo Hazaki was wrong again
