"Riders from Geox and Ag2r have joined the Italian squad"

4_600.jpg

Is this the case, because that would be news. Only AG2R riders listed as without contract are Yuriy Krivtsov and Julien Loubet.

Alternatively it could just be an AG2R rider training with them, same as the random behind him is.

[edit] actually it looks like it could be Montaguti in that pic.

No news from Rebellin?
He'll stay with Miche?

Would like to see him again with Savio at Androni.

Tuttobiciweb and also Gazzetta reported in the last days that he would ride for Miche.

Ryo, I guess guys like Rujano, Jackson Rodriguez, Ochoa, Monsalve etc. go back to Venezuela over the winter? Or do some of them stay and train with the team in Italy?

it should be one of the italians on Ag2R. It should be Montaguti because he doesn't look like Nocentini and Belletti has just joined the team so he doesn't have the kit yet.

Same with the majority of the American riders. Chris Horner crashes out of the TDF is on the next plane back to America as soon as he is fit. I know he has a young family, why not just race for a US Pro Continental team instead?

The rider in the GEOX outfit is Fabio Felline who have signed contract with Team Androni Giocattoli. I am relly looking forward to the teams success next year.

Visit their FB-page or their official homepage:

Because he can make more money this way? professional athletes have a limited time at their top earning potential. Makes sense to work where you can maximise your earning potential.

I don't understand how you crash and you have to fly straight back to America to recover. It's not Sudan that he's in.

Enough rambling, because in the spirit of this thread, Bert Scheirlinckx and Olivier Pardini have received a late Christmas present by getting a ride at Geofco-Ville d'Alger for next year (Phil's younger bro rides for this team, good for publicity I guess).

He had a fairly serious crash. What would be the point of hanging around Europe while he recovers when his family is in the US? Don't you think his wife and kids would be concerned about him? Plus it's cheaper than flying them to Europe.

Why not?
I think he might be in the sprint train for Farrar, now that Julian Dean is gone.
