He apparently made a mistake. He sent another Tweet out saying that the Martin signing was still only a rumor.
It's too late, the damage is done :p

Two rosters but not that many WT points. If you take Gilbert and Greipel away there isn't much to choose from. Martin brings a decent amount.

Massive signing and I now expect Gilbert @ BMC announcement soon, can´t see him signing with OPQ now, probably be wrong :p

Gerrans is becoming a real team w***e, this will be four teams in five years!

Not really his fault in 2 teams and we don´t know the details he really has not done much and SKY may have said you are not a required rider next year.

Well just read on Sporza that Gilberts manager will have a meeting with OPQS today or friday to answer some questions. So it seems OPQS is not totally excluded... He says they have time to make their decision...

Thought that was last week and BMC this week ?

Anyway with the signing OPQ seems to using a shot gun effect with there signings are may not have the best support set-up for Phil ready to roll - not that he needed one this but next he will as he will be marked to near death imo.

@ BMC he slots into leadership with other riders as support and co leaders.

Thor not much but sometimes, GVA a little but not near the same level of rider and Evans sometimes.

Any news on Matt Lloyd? Haven't heard squat in regards to him picking up a new contract. I guess GE and maybe BMC are the most obvious choices, he does follow BMC on twitter, how's that for a long bow to draw :D

I am a tad surprised that Gerro has gone to GreenEdge. He seemed quite happy at Sky and fitted into their team quite well.

Couple of snippets

Morris Possoni (sky) to Astana

and apparently Sky are also interested in young Luxembourger Bob Jungels, rumour that he may go on the 100% me team for a year.

the last part of that article says it all

His haul of 227 UCI points, which puts him at number 11 in the world rankings, meant that a number of teams would not be deterred by a price tag in excess of €1 million. Quick Step, who are ranked 17th out of a possible 18 teams, are under pressure to sign riders in order to guarantee their WorldTour status

This system of the rider taking points to a new team means that teams are forced to buy points to get a pro tour licence :(

Still, Tony Martin is worth the big buck as he's a guaranteed winner without much team support. What's not to like? He's also a proven domestique and can become World champion time trial.
