Quickstep want Phil, but will otherwise look for alternatives, such as Valverde. He'll be ready to ride again in January 2012...
Quickstep interested in Valverde?

Jamsque said:No way in hell does Sky let Geraint leave. He looks like being the next big thing in British cycling, they will throw money at him.

Hes in some ways the face of SKy, only Brad and later Cav will beat him for that, but hes far less vulgar and more socially acceptable than them.
If you see his videoblogs hes always joking around, very friendly with all his teammates and with Yates, even when he was injured.
He was making jokes about that 5000 he lost yesterday, doesnt seem to be someone who would leave all that behind for a bit of money.
Sky is the best thing that happened to him, no one benefits as much from them. Hes already friends with most of the guys, and hes given leadership and domestiquing jobs evenly around the season, whereas with other teams he would probably be domestique more often than not.
Yeah. Most riders seem very happy at Sky, actually. The Hitch said:And no way will Gerraint leave Sky.

I dont think there will be any big name signings they seen commited to bringing through young talent.Waterloo Sunrise said:Will be interested to see what sort of turnover there is at Sky coming to the end of their 2nd year.

But probably not any others, I agree.
The Hitch said:How could you not be with that team bus.

On Monday they'll say who it is
El Pistolero said:Damn it. Germans deciding to support one of the biggest dope teams. I love the irony though.
Midnightfright said:Even at the risk of being verbally beaten into submission by Ryo I don't yet consider Sergio Henao s big name.
