if it's not allready mentioned:

Both Jelle Vanendert and his younger brother Dennis vandendert (23, making his pro-debut) will ride for Lotto next season..

The new schlecks! ;)

Just on the radio (Wuyts):

QuickStep offered Gilbert more money, but Gilbert chose BMC; it's speculated that it has to do with being the sole leader. In addition, Lefevre reportedly grieved Gilbert in the past, because as youngsters, Lefevre chose Boonen and was a little dismissive of Gilbert.

Velits was brought in connection with Quickstep, but Velits said he wants to go to Vacansoleil.

EDIT> In addition this clip on BMC from sporza seems to confirm that Gilbert is coming. Lelangue was interviewed and in response to the question 'what will happen with Greg van Avermaet in case Gilbert comes' it seems he misspoke because he said 'we will have to figure that out during the winter'

Vive Le Velo Sporza Greg van Avermaet and BMC around the 2m mark.

LOL the schlecks joke really made me laugh:D

So its rather confirmed that gilbert is going to BMC?
Oh my im already getting excited he will look great in BMC colours and now BMC wont have to worry about the lack of wins:D

Gilbert to BMC? I hope the hell not. Terrible fit. Van Avermaet wants to win his own races and is getting stronger every year, while Evans will be pretty much washed up by next year and won't be able to help Gilbert in the classics.

Yes im a big fan of GVA but if he wants to be the sole leader he has gotta be winning more races. Right now he is a 2nd tier ardennes rider which is not good enough to be the sole leader. He needs to improve and develop before he can have the sole leader role. Evans washed up? evans is doing really well despite of his age. He will still be very good next year.

Other than BMC, Greenedge, and maybe Quick Step, a lot of teams have been VERY quiet.

Garmin
Leopard
Shack
AG2R

Are they getting anyone at the moment?

GVA reminds me of Gilbert when he was with FDJ, and wasn't getting many results. I feel GVA will break out into a very good rider very soon now.

The transfer market will explode if HTC disband Jobwain calm down.

Next years' BMC squad
Evans
TJVG
Blythe/ GVA.
Phinney
Hincapie
Moinard/ Quinziato
Ballan/ Santa
Frank/ Santombrogio
Kohler

GVA is not that bad, if Gilbert had not blown him at LBL he might have won. However he was in a break all day. Last year he set up Gilbert's WC attack. I can envisage him winning at least one classic.
Does anyone know when Sagan's contact ends as well.

So Lotto are gonna do a...Continental team? Pro Conti? Or what else?

that's unclear at the moment, lotto (the company) has stated that they will invest 4 million into the cyclingteam next season and that they are looking for a partner to form a team with.

They also claimed that their intention is to keep andré greipel on board with them.

With 4 million as a cashprize and riders like vandenbroeck, vanendert and perhaps greipel and a numbers of young talents bound to them I suppose they won't have any trouble finding a pro-tourteam to fuse with...

I'm curious to see what omega-pharma will do, they apparantly hold the protour licence but every major rider seems to have already left.

Ballan won't be there even if this Mantova thing clears up for him...just a hunch I have.

Vaughters hinting that Thor will stay at GC?
http://twitter.com/#!/Vaughters/status/93381234360729600
CONGRATS to Thor and Hesjay! 2.5 Norwegians on the podium. I think Thor likes our little team. #GarminCervelorocks

Before the Tour I thought Hushovd should get the hell out of there, but now that he's done his best Tour de France ever, I think I've changed my mind. Obviously they're not a bad classics squad, even if they were awful before Paris-Roubaix. And not going for the green jersey in the Tour has given him a lot more freedom to go for stage wins. Also being on a team with relaxed GC guys who don't really aim higher than top ten should be perfect for him.

I tend to agree in racing terms.

Ideally Hushovd should be on a team which:

1) Has a very good Classics roster.
2) But not so good that somebody else will be Classics top dog.
3) With no priority given to GC ambitions.
4) But which still has a strong enough roster to support him if he's going well in a GT.

He can coexist with a flat sprint specialist because he has quite consciously moved away from that specialty himself.

In purely racing terms it's actually hard to see a better fit for Hushovd unless he really has a driving urge to come fifth in big bunch sprints. On the other hand, these sort of decisions are never just about the racing. Mr Benjamin always has a say too.

RUMOUR: Andy to be dumped from Leopard Trek. Internal politics in the Leopard Trek team to cause the team to be built around Frank, Andy unhappy about it. Andy back to Saxobank to super domestique for Contador.

according to Gazet van Antwerpen (belgian newspaper) Ben Hermans is leaving Radio Shack and will be racing for Team leopard the next two seasons.

he chose leopard over quickstep and lotto since he believes it will be better for him as a young rider to evolve with a foreign team (less pressure)

LOL evans will be just as strong next year, just wait and see:rolleyes:

Well, perhaps he'll go the way of Sastre so that when he finally wins his Tour this year he will only occsionally ride at this level again.
