Those two would be weird. Not that I would mind though. It would make liking Jakob much easier...

Perhaps Jakob is viewed as having failed at the Tour and Jens is getting too old although saying this in regards to Radioshack does seem strange.

Cav riding the Tour of Britain.

Which means everyone can make assumptions that he will announce his team for 2012 then. :D

brice feillu shouldn't struggle to find a team. one of the french teams (ag2r, cofidis, fdj, europcar could all use him) or he could rejoin his brother at vacansoleil.

I just read that Jakob Fuglsang / Linus Gerdemann / Oliver Zaugg / Dominic Klemme / Anders Lund / Martin Mortensen / Martin Pedersen / Thomas Rohregger / Tom Stamsnijder / Bruno Pires / Davide Viganò / Jens Voigt / Robert Wagner / Fabian Wegmann / Will Clarke / Brice Feillu are all going to BMC!

Nah but seriously, I'm sure a team like GreenEdge will be happy to take some of their "scraps", since there are plenty of good riders now available. As for that list, I can actually see all of those guys being released. For guys like Pires, Gerdemann, and Fugslang, it was probably an issue of RadioShack having too many stage racers already. And the rest are probably career domestique types and RadioShack has plenty of domestiques too.

maybe it is a bit too late. I think greenedge has already chosen all the riders for 2012. if we knew it before the Tour this coulda been interesting

Also he is generally quite well informed on most cycling matters, so why on earth it would be BS by definition is beyond me. Given the way the season has gone for Geox and given the fact that Gianetti so far failed to deliver to his title sponsor Geox the marketing podium they were undoubtedly looking for, I could see Geox bail out and put their eggs in another basket (i.e. F1).

Being a visible sponsor in F1 is a looooooooot more expensive than having a cycling team though.

I could see Voigt retiring - he's getting 40 in a couple weeks, but certainly if he wants to continue I have no doubt he'd find a team.

Be cool to see Jens smashing it up @ skil if leopard goes down

Well, saxo has a lot of spots open, conceivably they could pick up a number of the riders. Might be a bit awkward though, at the heel of last years debacle.

All respect for Jens, but it would be perverse if he gets a contract at RS-Trek (or whatever the name will be) and lots of contracted riders will be released.

money is no issue for geox. that's why they will keep sponsoring cycling as it's peanuts compared to their other endeavors

If Riis with many slots didn't sign nobody already means he knew about this chance?

Maybe Nygaard talk to Riis?

The money needed to sponsor an F1 team would be so much that the cost of continuing to sponsor there cycling team would probably be negligible.

if this is true this must be the best news ever :p

i hope it happens

Portuguese armada for Contador :D

None of them might be great climbers, but they can definitely set the pace on mountain stages and do some useful domestique duties. Plus Paulinho will be a great mental addition for Contador. Now Riis just needs to sign someone like Cobo(if he's out of contract).
