Would be really surprised if Cummings left. and would be very surprised if Froome had a deal before the Vuelta

but then the way this transfer season is going anything could happen. starting to look like everyone will just end up on one massive merged team anyway.

Agreements may have been made, but nothing was signed. Froome went into the vuelta with no contract for 2012 and he certainly wont have been signing contracts during the race.

If you knew both Froome and Cummings where leaving and going to the same team, you would surely have an idea of which team.

Pippo maybe, as JRB seems to have had interest in classics riders. Feillu would be good if he isn't contracted to Vacan, as he may overlap with Kenny Van Hummel next season. Flecha, if his contract were up.

yes. plan is to step it up for 2012 before a bigger expansion for 2013

Actually Cummings to a conti team after performing this season is a stretch. I suppose dimspace has the best clue anyhow.

Yeah I agree.

Cummings spent much of the middle year very ill, then in his first race back got a very decent 9th overall at Tour of Poland. Unless Sky have ongoing concerns about his health I don't see any way they'd let him go. Cummings may want a change however.

Boom tries to compete in sprints occasionally too.

I certainly don't feel comfortable calling boonen a genuine sprinter anymore.
gotta be a difficult, long or tough conditions in a race for him to be a chance against the genuine sprinters.

Not saying he isn't a great cyclist or classics specialist, but a sprinter he is hardly that anymore.

It's possible, but then a fully fit Cummings would 100% definitely have been in their Tour team this year. I have a tough time believing Sky don't want him, but stranger things have happened.

Maybe so But I doubt he will make the 2012 team if everyone is fit - I was just bouncing around an idea.

That's the case with Keukeleire as well. He surely can sprint, but he's more a type of rider who likes the more difficult races, like Boonen.

Speaking of Keukeleire, he's had a quiet year hasn't he? I remember he got a good result in Roubaix, don't recall much else though. Maybe we'll see him in more WT races next year.

Garmin-Cervelo, Saxo Bank, Ag2r, Skil Shimano, Movistar, Lampre, Astana and Sky have expressed interest in signing with Chris Froome.
