What makes you think that?

Sky have spent lots already. QSOP are seriously lacking for a combination super team, and seem to have been focussing recruitment on a leadout train for a sprinter they haven't yet signed. Lots of ex HTC there, including Brian Holm. If he was going to Sky, why in the world would they not already have said. I can think of reasons to delay the announcement if he isn't going.

Just imagined that he would announce after the ToB. Guess time will tell. Bored of all the waiting and hints TBH.

The signings of the Velits twins, Tony Martin, Grabsch, and Rabon, all from HTC. And if they re-sign Ciolek that will be another who has sucked since he left Highroad for Milram and then Quick Step (non Clinic issues aside), that's a solid train for Cav, including Boonen as well (sure that will go down well in Belgium amongst the Boonen fans) :p

It will be funny if Levi is doing lead-out for Cav.

That's two riders who wanted to get away from doing lead-outs and ride for GC, so I doubt they would sign for a team that Cav was going to.

Where did they say that?

I'm sure I can remember the Velits twins saying that they would re-sign with HTC if they were able to find a new sponsor.

Yup, and Tony always took part in the train even when officially excused.

QSOP is a super team that could easily win ****** all next year at the moment if things don't run their way - he makes enormous sense for them as a signing.

Sticking Boonen in a lead out would be better than him attempting his own sprints

Much harder to crash when you're in front, so Cav to QS wouldn't be so bad. It's kinda strange QS is buying so man time trial specialists. Tony Martin, Peter Velits, Bert Grabsch and all those eastern Europeans who I'm not going to attempt naming.
They also need to buy Sagan IMO. He'd be a perfect fit. Sadly they had the chance, but QS didn't want to give him a pro contract, so Liquigas gave him one instead. But at QS he'd get some real support...

Actually I agree. OPQS would be perfect for Sagan imo. Although he's doing pretty well at Liquigas too ;)

Will Andy Fenn count as a neo-pro for next year?

Short answer: Yes.

Long answer: He hasn't been on a ProConti or World Tour team until now, and he was still U23 when signing the pro contract.
So he will count as a neo-pro for 2012 & 2013.

Gerrans is off to GreenEdge and even though Uran finished 5th in LBL this year, he is still a bit young and inexperienced to be called an Ardennes rider.

henao will do very well in the classics, imo better than uran as he'smore suited to them, better steerer, more explosive. uran is alrady very good in this and will only improve but he will also do well in gt's. henao too but this year in colombia his climbing worried me a little. we will see how sky handles this as he's been riding too heavy gears and I hope he won't turn into a cunego.

Porte has a good finish in San Sebastián and Lövkvist has hit the top 5 on Montelupone before, so both of them could give the Ardennes a decent tilt as backup. Though whoever it was suggested Froome is probably right - it'll be, well, not nice, but funny, to see him add 250km hilly races to the list of things he showed next to no promise at until the end of August 2011 before becoming hilariously awesome.

Or alternatively he could now suck until late 2014 in true Klöden fashion, since it was only when he was potentially without a contract that he went from being mediocrity personified to GT contender.

Wow, Pozzato becoming a real small cyclist now huh. Pozzato should go back to Quickstep, he had his biggest success there. Although with Farnese Vini he can win some smaller races which is probably what he needs mentally wise. And invites to San Remo and Giro. But I doubt the Ronde and Roubaix will invite him.

you forget that he must sign for MICHE for a small period, than he can move to other teams

:D

Does anyone know where Franco Pelizzotti will end up? I don't know if Liquigas needs him but considering he did originally get cleared, I'd think he wouldn't totally be banned from the team. It'll be a good year with Franco and Valverde back. I gotta think Franco has already peaked though.

With Porte gone as well, the Contador fans should be worried. His team might do terribly in the TTT as compared to the powerhouses BMC and RadioTrek.
And where the hell is GEL?

Often they dont have a ttt 2 years in a row.
